So, we've told the family we were trying to decide between Matthew and Jason...we've finally decided! Well, for now...haha!! We keep going back to Matthew....so we've decided that his name will be:

Matthew Alvin Kane Hamre

Alvin, is for Landon's Grandpa Hamre - he just passed away this past October and he was really special to Landon. Kane is Landon's middle name, and it's also his Maternal Great-grandmother's maiden name.

So, there you have it! Baby H finally has a name!!

Nursery and other fun things!

Here's the furniture that my mom bought us! We got it at Baby's R Us and we love it! Now all we need is a baby....lol! (You'll have to click on the photos to see the whole image)

31 weeks!

Well on Monday, I will be! I figure he will be here in 8 weeks - no later. WOW that's getting close, isn't it?

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:

I was 28 weeks here
And almost 29 weeks here

More pictures to come after tomorrow!

The pain I've been having is gone - well for the last few days anyway. I know that he's just changed positions a little and I'm sure that he'll put his big head back into my pelvis and I won't be able to walk again haha! I'm getting really tired again, and the Braxton Hicks are coming more often, starting to hurt, and lasting a long time. Nothing consistent, so nothing to worry about - but my body is definitely getting ready.

I laugh, because it seems the baby is just like his father - always prepared ahead of time, for anything! Head engaged in pelvis: check. Braxton Hicks to make sure delivery goes well and mom's uterus can squeeze me out: check. Kicking mom every day, all day, so that she knows how active I am: check.

More to come in another post!

New Pics

Well, I'll be 27 weeks on Monday! Sorry for the long wait on the update but things have been hectic. Landon was gone for a month, the kids were out of school and a lot has been going on.

My belly grows by the week it seems, and I already feel like he's out of room in there. He kicks anything that gets set on my belly - he likes his personal space I guess..lol.

Half down, half to go!!!!

Well, I'm 21 weeks today and doing pretty well. The morning sickness - well, all day sickness - is almost completely gone and I'm so happy! I feel generally good, just some minor aches and things like that. Normal pregnancy stuff, so it's alright!

The baby is moving SO much lately and it's great! Landon got to feel him kick a couple weeks ago, so that was exciting. I was watching my belly jump today, as he kicked me, so he's getting pretty strong in there!

Here's a couple ultrasound photos, and I'll update with a new belly pic soon!

New Belly Pics!

It's been a while since I posted a belly growth picture, so I figured it was a good time. Lots of growth in the past week and my belly is getting really hard. I think I'm carrying low so far - we'll see how it progresses in the next few weeks.

Here's today, 17 weeks 1 day!

Monday, September 22, 2008

Um, WOW!!

Well, 17 weeks already - where is the time going? It's time for another belly picture, as it's been a while! I'll get that done today sometime and update the blog again!

The morning sickness is still with me, but not as often. Now, I'm just feeling all of the aches and stretching. The baby moves all the time, and I swear he's doing some acrobatics in there! It's not the "flutters" that everyone says they get - and that I got with the first two - it's ROLLING and pressure and I always ask him, "Holy crap what ARE you doing in there?" We'll see what he's like when he starts running out of room! Ha!

I've gained only 4 pounds so far, so I'm doing great!

Burn Baby, Burn...

My stomach that is. I can't get rid of this heartburn and indigestion! I'm sure the doc will put me on something when I go this Thursday. It's way too frequent and nothing helps anymore! I have been taking Maalox, even the extra strength kind and I get relief for about 20 minutes. I try and stay away from acidy/spicy things, but the simplest things cause it, so there's no use.

Oh well....5 1/2 more months.

If it's not one thing, it's another!

Finally, I start to feel pretty darn good - then I get a head cold. Which turns into puking yesterday. I called the doc's office, and they had me come in. The doctor I saw (not my regular OB) wanted me to stay and get some IV fluids. It took two bags before I felt better!! My regular OB doc happened to walk by the door before I got the IV, and she asked what the heck I was doing there, so I explained. She came to check on me later, too so that was great. The doc I had last night was really great, too. With all the issues we've had with the Military hospital, it's nice to actually have some good docs/nurses/techs that take care of you. It makes all of the other BS worth it!

So rest for me today, but I'm feeling much better! Landon took the day off to take the kids to school and back....he also informed me that when he got home, he'd make breakfast!!

Time for a belly pic

It's been a couple weeks, so here's one from this morning. I'm 13 weeks 4 days today!

Ultrasound!!

We went to a place called A Little Insight, just for a "fun" ultrasound so the kids could see. My mom came, and Landon was there, of course. The tech said the earliest they've been able to tell gender was 14 weeks, and I was 13 weeks 1 day that day. About 5 minutes into it, she tells me she thinks we have a BOY! So she looks around some more, the baby is moving around and sure enough - boy parts!! There's NO question at all!!

Here's a couple pictures from the ultrasound:

Already?!

It's been a week already? Where is the time going?

I feel better as far as the nausea goes - we'll see if it STAYS that way. Like I've said before, I'm not holding my breath! I'm getting nerve pain in my arms, but the doc isn't sure what it's from. If it's still happening by my next appointment, they want to do some nerve testing. I don't know what that entails, but it can't be enjoyable. I'm getting headaches quite frequently now, but that's just part of being pregnant - comforting, right? LOL!

I did a photoshoot for a friend yesterday, who has cancer...well, she HAD cancer - she just got done with chemo, and they say the cancer is gone and now it's just about sustaining. She starts radiation in a couple weeks, so hopefully after that, she'll be completely D O N E!

Anyway, that's been my week. I'll be taking belly pics tomorrow. I skipped a week, and I figured I'd do them every couple weeks now. Growth isn't as drastic every week now - thank goodness haha - so every 2-3 weeks I'll take one!

Gender Prediction!

Well, already everyone is putting in their bets on what sex the baby will be. So far it's about half and half! Just for fun, here are results from different websites, all "predicting" if the baby will be a boy or a girl!

Website #1: http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/TDB/BabySex.asp
It's a girl!

Website #2: http://www.obfocus.com/calculators/gender.htm
It's a girl!

Website #3: http://www.webwomb.com/chinesechart.htm
It's a girl!

Website #4: http://pregnancyandbaby.com/pregnancy/baby/Chinese-conception-gender-chart-9.htm
It's a girl!

Website #5: http://www.baby-parenting.co.uk/baby/predictor.html
It's a girl!

And Website #6: http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/family/174482/Chinese-birth-predictor--Baby-boy-or-girl
It's a boy!

WELL THEN!
Looks like the majority says girl....so we shall see!

Appointment and movement?

Back on the 14th, I think I felt the baby move. It's pretty early so I can't be 100% sure, but after two previous pregnancies I really think that was it! I had an OB appointment on the 14th, and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! We'd seen it on ultrasound, but hadn't heard it yet. It took about 20 minutes and two doctors to find it though - stubborn child, already!! I was starting to get a little worried, but she finally found it. Landon and Anyssa were both there with me, and Gabe was still in school so I recorded it on my phone for him! He really enjoyed hearing it when he got home!

Anyway, when she had the doppler on my stomach, I could swear I felt a SUPER LIGHT *thump*. Now mind you, it wasn't hard at all, it just felt like a little flick...when I layed down in bed that night, I felt a bunch of fluttering in that same spot. It happened for about 5 or 6 seconds!!

So baby is healthy, mommy is healthy. I go back in 4 more weeks!

Tick tock, tick tock!!

Time is just ticking away!! 11 weeks already - it seems like I just posted week 10 yesterday!! My book says that the baby's already formed feet and toes could stand on my fingernail. Wow, how tiny!

I have an appointment on Thursday for my first in-office visit. We should be able to hear the heartbeat!! I'm so excited!

Can we scratch that?

The last post that is. I'm so tired, and I've been feeling nauseated again. I thought I was in the clear, but I thought it might sneak back up on me. It's off and on though, so I can deal with this a little better. This weekend I plan on resting up from being so busy during the week so maybe I'll feel a little better!

10 weeks and feeling good!

Just tired, but that's a given. I haven't had morning sickness in about a week or so now, and my appetite is getting better! I'm so relieved!! It looks like the bad days are behind me - for the most part probably. I'm sure I'll still have those "yuck" days, but few and far between are much better than every.single.day.....

Here's this week's belly pic. A lady at the maternity clothes store looked at me in utter shock when I told her how far along I am. Well, I'm on #3, what do you expect?? LOL!!

9 weeks...and still growing??

So, 9 weeks now - and still growing - but not that much. Maybe it'll slow down? LOL!!

I had heartburn/indigestion so bad last night that poor Landon had to go out and buy Maalox for me. The stores on base were closed, so he had to drive a ways to find some...I felt bad but the burn was awful and I felt like puking. Nice, huh? The joys of pregnancy....

Beginning of the end?

I'm not holding my breath, but today is the second day that I haven't been nauseated EVERY minute of the day! I had a wave of it this morning when I was trying to rush out the door for my appointment. And just once more after dinner, but it wasn't that bad. I did have the help of Zofran this morning, but hey, whatever works!

We finished up the kids' back-to-school shopping, and their first day is next Thursday. Whatever will I do with 3 1/2 hours with no children? Hmm...maybe sleep and catch up!! Haha!

Baby countdown!

The thing you see on the left side is called a Widget. I added it here, so you could see the baby grow! Each week, or whenever baby hits another milestone, the baby in the widget will grow and change also! I thought it was neat - enjoy!

8 Weeks!!

One more week down! They're going fast, which I'm thankful and NOT thankful for at the same time. I'm enjoying this pregnancy, as it is more than likely the last. But I really am looking forward to the second trimester so I can get some relief from the nausea and just plain feeling like crap!

Here's the belly:

Long night last night...

Well scary stuff yesterday! I started cramping super bad after my nap, so long story short, we head into the ER by the on-call doc's request. I got there at 5pm and didn't get to leave til 9:30!! They did blood work, a pelvic exam - cervix is closed, and sent me to radiology for an ultrasound. Everything looked good and they told me to come back this morning for a more detailed ultrasound, to check my ovaries and everything else, and then a follow up at the doc's office. I went and did that and again, everything is fine. They found nothing on my ovaries, nothing anywhere else, and the baby is great. The heart rate was 150 last night and today it was 147, so all is well!! They put me on "pelvic rest", so that means just take it easy...She mentioned threatened miscarriage, but she said that since everything looks great, she doubts it and thinks that it's just "growing pains". I'm taking 325mg of Tylenol, and she prescribed me an anti-nausea med. Hopefully it'll work!!!

Here's the baby!! You can see the head, body, yolk sac right above baby, and I believe you can see 4 dots on the body - 2 being the arm buds and two being the leg buds!
